My beach-trip to Samet*** |
I am a bit of a beach-freak and was not impressed with the City beaches, so one morning I followed Michael's suggestion to spend a couple of nights on nearby Samet. It was 2 of us, my lady of choice for a week, let's call her LEK....The trip was easy. Meow had me booked on a minibus, which picked us up @ diana-oasis shortly after 7.40
We arrived in the Banphe village pier area around 9.15 and decided to have breakfast in one of the restaurants across the road. As advised we stayed away from touts and booked our ferry trip just opposite the 7/11 for 50 Baht 1-way. Arrival at the concrete monster pier was not very pleasant, but as we made our way on foot onto the other side towards the beaches the mood improved :-) Entering the gate to the official National Park???? we paid our duties.....Foreigners without Thai DL are being charged extra, Thais I believe was just 40 Baht. |
